The new movie, "Avatar" will premiere on December 18, 2009. This movie is science fiction movie directed by James Cameron and released by 20th Century Fox. This movie focuses on an epic conflict on a far-away world called Pandora, where humans and the native species of Pandora, the Na'vi, engage in a war over the planet's resources and existence.
This movie will be released in 2D and 3D formats with James Cameron as its director after directing several large films, such as the first two Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss and Titanic. This movie tells about a disabled ex-marine, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) who gets a second chance to walk again if he takes part in an experiment that will transform him into an Avatar and relocate him to go to a planet known as Pandora to explore the native Na'vi's and see what their world is like.
This film also has a love story between the main character Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana's character which is a native to Pandora. The interesting thing form this film is the skin color of aliens is different from the skin color of most aliens that have the cliché green. Here, Navi is a ten foot high blue color humanoids, while avatar itself is genetically human/Navi hybrid who can be controlled through a mental link.
Actually, James Cameron wanted the film to debut before Titanic. Even, Fox movies said that this film is the costliest film they have done. It might be because you can find many effects in that film. So, will 'Avatar' do better than Titanic?
